About This Pipe
With over 50 years of experience in making pipes, Claudio Cavicchi has become an expert in the craft with a renowned ability to showcase the best possible grain of each block of briar he uses. This smooth bent Dublin from Cavicchi is a fine example of his stellar craftsmanship. A graceful, Horn-like undercurve begins at the fore rim and takes a swing around the wide heel into an airily uplifted shank and stem arrangement, lending the pipe an aura of elegance. Thickly swirled nests of birdseye storm around the smooth-finished rim. From the softly rounded heel, flame grain extends towards said rim, following the direction of the bowl's cant and thereby lending strong forward motion to the pipe. The smooth stummel wears a light stain that shows off Cavicchi's eye for attractive grain patterns.
