About This Pipe
In terms of overall scale, Peterson's "65" bent Billiard is one of the Irish marque's smaller bent Billiard renditions, especially when compared to the likes of their "XL90" and "X220." While in a smaller package, however, the "65" still features Peterson's signature sense of proportions — the transition, shank, and stem base all quite robust in relation to the rest of the piece. This design cue separates the Irish aesthetic from that of the French and English pipe making approach, with the "65" toeing the line in its compact form but substantial presence. It's the perfect option for those who want the best of both worlds.
Similar to the Donegal Rocky series, Peterson's Derry line dresses pipes in a rugged rustication, but instead of a jet-black mouthpiece, the Derry features an acrylic stem of swirling chocolate and caramel tones. Named after the second largest city in Ireland, known for its distinctively hilly topography, this series appropriately dresses the stummel of each piece in a craggy, well-textured rustication with an earthy walnut stain over top. A bright nickel army mount completes the presentation, offering some aesthetic flash and allowing the pipe to be broken down easily for cleaning.
- Madison LongNote: While most of our other pipes are photographed individually, these are not, and you may expect some reasonable cosmetic variation between the example we've photographed and the pipe you've received.
