About This Pipe
Even more sleek and lightweight than Peterson's "104" Billiard, the "103" rendition was introduced in 2022 and counts among the Irish marque's most featherweight and streamlined designs. Forgoing the muscular proportions for which Peterson is known, the "103" instead presents a classic disposition with a streamlined shank fitted to a pert, upright bowl that maintains the profile's balance. It's the perfect pipe for those who appreciate classic shapes of more petite dimensions and is ideal for travel and on-the-go smoking sessions.
First released in the early 1990s, Peterson's Tyrone series was named for County Tyrone in Northern Ireland, a historical region originally called Tír Eoghan, "Land of Eoghan" in the Irish language. The Tyrone line was discontinued in the early '00s, but Peterson resurrected the series in 2021 with modern appointments and a fresh finish. Like the originals, new Tyrone pipes bear a smooth finish and trim brass accents but trade the earlier version's walnut stain for the Irish marque's dark and smoky Heritage finish. Like Peterson's Aran Smooth and Killarney series, the Tyrone offers pipes in a smooth finish and distinctive, traditional color palette at an accessible price, but is distinguished from the chestnut stain of the Aran and the Red and Ebony versions of the nickel-accented Killarney. Beautifully alluring and with just the right balance of refined class and understated elegance, this Peterson Tyrone pipe is perfect for those interested in a reserved and traditional finish at a wallet-friendly price.
- Madison LongNote: While most of our other pipes are photographed individually, these are not, and you may expect some reasonable cosmetic variation between the example we've photographed and the pipe you've received.
