About This Pipe
This "5344" bent Apple from Vauen pairs a stout, almost spherical bowl to an uplifted shank anda slender, demurely curved saddle stem of jet-black acrylic. In keeping with the German firm's penchant for fashioning pipes with muscular builds, the bowl here is substantive without being unwieldy or overly weighty, providing just enough girth for the fingers to comfortably wrap around.
With the Taipan line, Vauen offers practical functionality with a distinctively German industrial take on classic shapes. The series is defined by a ruby sandblast to commend the briar's grain and provide plenty of finger traction, with a triple accent at the shank end adding a hint of elegance, and a sleek black stem adding to the traditional appeal.
