About This Pipe
Founded in 1848 by Karl Ellenberger and Carl August Zeiner, Vauen is Germany's oldest pipe factory and the birthplace of the 9mm pipe filter — an innovation that has since become standard across most of the marque's designs. Vauen's Chianti line showcases an assortment of the German marque's most recognizable shapes, offered in one of two distinct finishes: an earthy sandblast or a glossy polish. Both presentations are unified by a metallic mount and a push-style stem. Seen here is the series' smooth finish, adorning this "03L" example.
-Davin HyltonNote: While most of our other pipes are photographed individually, these are not, and you may expect some reasonable cosmetic variation between the example we've photographed and the pipe you've received.
