GROSSPANZER

Mac Baren - Virginia No. 1 3.5oz
Smell that Honey
Smells like honey before lighting it. Sweet and smooth smoke. Don't fear the rumored tongue bite, it all comes down to your mouth chemistry. I had no problems with it. I will always keep this in my collection.

Orlik - Golden Sliced 50g
Where's the Citris?
Not at citrisy as I expected, and not as tangy as Broken Louisiana. Still a good smoke. I'll keep some on hand.

Cornell & Diehl - Red Virginia Cavendish
Good Alone or Blended
Nice, bready, and yeasty by itself. It absolutely saved a disgusting tobacco I hated when blended together. The tobacco I blended it with was unsmokeable in my opinion. Adding about 60% Red Virginia Cavendish brought it to a 3.5 out of 5. I will buy it again.

Cult - Blood Red Moon 50g
Better Blended
Strong chemical taste. Tastes a bit like cough medicine as well. I didn't like it at all. I only tried one tin. Maybe I got a bad batch, or maybe I should have cellared it for a while... I tried it fresh out of the tin. I found that I enjoyed it much more when I blended it with another tobacco. I mixed 40% of the cherry Blood Red Moon and 60% bready Red Virginia Cavendish and Voila! Cherry pie! I give that blend a 3.5 out of 5. Better blended.

Cleaners & Cleaning Supplies - Brigham Pipe Cleaners - Bristle (75 Pack)
In the Pipe
I am new to pipe smoking, and this is the only pipe cleaner I've tried. So, I don't have much to compare it too. It does it's job. It cleans your pipe. However, I did notice that small pieces and dust of the pipe cleaners fibers come off and stick in and on the pipe. I don't know if the fibers are plastic based, but if they are this is a concern when smoking.

Three Nuns - Three Nuns 1.75oz
3 Out of Three Nuns
As a reformed cigarette smoker, I have yet to come across an "expensive" pipe tobacco. When you are used to spending $20 every other day, spending $25 on Capstan or Nuns that will last you a week or two per tin is negligible. Three Nuns is good in my opinion. It's bready, spicy, and peppery flavor with a slight bit of a men's cologne back-end taste. Not one of my top choices, but I would get it again, and I would keep some on hand.

Capstan - Flake Blue 1.75oz
Changed My Mind
I recently quit cigarette smoking and, of course made Capstan Blue one of my first purchases. Yes, I got it because of Tolkien. Originally, I found it boring and lacking much flavor after spending several weeks smoking aromatics and Captain Black. However, after not touching the Capstan for about 2 weeks, I found myself craving it's flavor. I tried it again, and loved it. It's now one of my go to tobaccos. I smoke at least one bowl a day of Capstan Blue Navy Cut. I am still new to pipe smoking, so I am sure there are other tobaccos that are just as good with a similar flavor profile that are much cheaper. I just haven't come across it yet. I find is has a slight hay flavor, it's yeasty and bready as well. It goes well with a good beer and weirdly enough, sometimes a glass of cold milk.
