Cornell & Diehl - Billy Budd Blonde
One for the Cigar Lovers - don’t listen to people who say this isn’t good
I recently started smoking pipes to save money — I love smoking cigars, but even at six dollars a stick on sale it’s just not very economical. I’ve been searching for something that would scratch that itch because everything up to this point really doesn’t smoke anywhere close to the way a cigar tastes and the smoke feels in your mouth. I just tried this for the first time today and it’s easily my new favorite! nutty, chocolatey earthy a little bit peppery is what I mostly get out of this and the smell of the charred tobacco smells almost exactly like a cigar. on top of that the body is more medium much closer to cigar smoke. I’m not saying this blend is exactly the same as smoking a cigar, but it’s by far the closest I’ve come across to date. I’ve tried at least 15 different blends at this point. Everything from plain Virginia’s to English and everything in between and not one of them has come remotely close to that cigar like experience I’ve been craving, but this does. If you like cigars, save yourself some time and money and just order a bunch of this. The only thing I would say is that if you don’t like perique probably not for you. This does kind of emulate a sort of Nicaraguan cigar kind of experience but it’s light on the pepper not a spice bomb.
