Cornell & Diehl - Bijou 2oz
Let it age!
Like others have said, it needs to age, and this blend for some reason ages very stubbornly. Straight out of the tin it’s actually enjoyable. Very subtle and tastes kind of buttery to me. Still a just a bit boring. After a couple years in the jar, it was still pretty boring but I noticed sugar crystals starting to form. After a few months of opening the jar to check on it periodically, it finally started to develop that sweet raisin smell/taste from the aged virginias finally maturing. Way way more flavor than before and very enjoyable. The tins says something like 10-15 years is ideal for this blend to sit, so that’s exactly what I’m doing with the other two tins I have. All in all, it’s worth getting a few tins. It’s definitely unique and something different.
