HU - Dark Sea 100g
They did something right with this one.
I have no idea how you can give this blend a bad review unless you smoke it way too hot. Yes, it apparently has some rum/anise flavor added, but it’s really barely noticeable and melds into the natural tobacco blends perfectly. Think of this blend as an enhanced Old Gowrie. The red Virginias take the lead followed by Kentucky, burley, perique and just barely Latakia (that you wouldn’t know was there unless it said so on the tin). The flavor profile has caramel, bread, spice, and barbecue (the Kentucky is noticeable). This blend has a lot of flavor and medium strength. Dry it out for 15 minutes and smoke it slow in a thick walled pipe and you’re in for a treat. 4,5 stars (not 5, which is reserved for desert island blends)
