e lead followed by Kentucky, burley, perique and just barely Latakia (that you wouldn’t know was there unless it said so on the tin). The flavor profile has caramel, bread, spice, and barbecue (the Kentucky is noticeable). This blend has a lot of flavor and medium strength. ting Virginia rather than an English, which made me approach it in a different way. Please Smoking Pipes change "family" to Virginia because it is misleading and will leave many people disappointed.
I don't know what exactly helped me, because I've tried many things: Drying it to crisp, moistened, then dried it again. close to a year has passed, maybe age did it thing, or the fact that I smoked it 20 times and became better at discerning flavors.
I feel a bit of spicy Kentucky at the back of my nose, Virginias at the front, and aniseed lingering in the background. From half of the bowl, the Dark Fired Kentucky starts showing itself and gradually intensifies the barbecue flavor. Can taste the burley providing body to the smoke. I don't feel any Latakia, though. As I'm writing this, I just reloaded the second bowl, and I never did it for other tobaccos!
Only HU can make a tobacco that you can smoke even if you don't particularly enjoy it.

Very, very good blend! More of a great tasting Virginia blend rather than an English. The Latakia is very subtle, but perfect. Flavors dance throughout the bowl. I’ll be back for more.

has just a few aromatic qualities that take it a step beyond the already established natural flavors. Every leaf in this blend finds its way to the taste buds, none are masked or overpowered, they all create a symphony of rich creamy smoke that tests your palate to pick out the flavors but also throws them at you vs needing to go hunting for them. 10/10 my favorite. My key notes are: Musty damp woods, mild smokiness, cinnamon/vanilla, twangy cedar and leather, and both black and white pepper.
