BriarWorks - Sweet Tea 2oz
Bought it for the Jar
Being born in Alabama I have a certain affinity for sweet tea. So I reckoned I’d pick up a jar and see how I liked it. The tin (jar) note is definitely that of sweet tea, earthy, grassy, and sugar cane sweet. My first smoke was a tad moist but still burned clean and I kind of expected that since I just popped the jar. There was a subtle sweetness but I still got a little spice from the orientals. More spice in the retrohale though. Pleasantly sweet room note but not a strong sweet smell like most other aromatics. This was more like a very mild cigar smell but with sugar cane if you can imagine that. It mellowed through the middle and finished nice. I enjoyed it in a Missouri Meerschaum churchwarden so I’d recommend a cob for this and I paired it with a glass of Woodford Reserve Bourbon. Overall, I liked it. We'll see how it ages. And since it comes in a jelly jar I can reuse that forever so worth it even if you don’t like it…. If only I had a rocking chair….

  • ► The $15 question I’m sure. I saw the video on YouTube was 13 hours ago and they didn’t give a release date so I thought it was available now. Alas, can’t find it.
