A lot more than I expected
I love Vs, from the first bowl of this demanding, unforgiving tobacco. If you take your time and learn what it wants from you a good Virginia can take you on an adventure that very few blends can. From the old McClellan reds and blacks to the golden Orlik flakes and the toasty Davidoff of the past. This blend is a throwback of the late 90's through the early 2000's. Sweet in a sense that the natural sugar comes through but not biting. The hay flavor from the leaf awakens the salivary glands like a slice of lemon. There is a reminder of Amphora gold in the wisps of malt. Then when it settles down there is a rich, strong, spicy smoke that makes you want another bowl right after your done. This is not a beginner tobacco without some aging because it wants respect, a slow cadence, and a gentle tamp. Pack this too tight and you will be eating ice for days to correct your mistakes but slow down, let it go out now and then. Try different packing techniques, rub it out, try it as a fold and stuff. Learn what this blend is trying to show you and trust me you will go back for more if you love reds. Age it for a special occasion and really see what this has to offer. Great tobacco and really that's all I can say.
