All Pipes Considered: Missouri Meerschaum with Dan Nemets Part One
In this episode of All Pipes Considered, Dan Nemets reveals some of the production processes at America's oldest corn cob pipe factory (plus that time he tried his hand on the lathe and learned that some things are best left to the professionals).
Any cob fans out there? Have a suspicion that you could do better than Dan's attempts at shaping? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments section below.

I’ve been smoking pipes for 20 plus years and have recently discovered Missouri Meerschaums cob pipes. They have become my favorite pipes to smoke. Thanks for carrying them. Keep up the good work.
@Ricky Murphree They really are a great everyday smoker, Ricky. We're glad you found them. And thanks, we will :D
I have smoked Missouri Meerschaums exclusively for maybe fifteen years or more. I smoke all the different kinds of cobs, but my favorite is the General. I modify them with bamboo reed stems so they smoke like the first MM pipes produced by Henry Tibbe. I find them to be even cooler smoking with the bamboo stems whose fibers draw away even more heat, thus complementing the cooling characteristics of the corn cob bowl, and I love the old timeyness of their appearance. I am 100% true blue to the company and the product and the terrific folks there!
