In Appreciation of the New 2025 Savinelli Pipes

Savinelli is one of the oldest and most respected marques in pipe making. They've been in the pipe and tobacco game since 1876 and they've been operating their pipe factory since 1948. Every year since then, they've pushed the boundaries of aesthetically pleasing pipes that are built to be smoked for generations. I'm rather fond of Savinelli pipes — they've made up the bulk of my non-estate purchases over the years due to their quality, aesthetic, and price. My beloved Bing's Favorite is a constant in my pipe rotation, and I look forward to their Saint Nicholas series year after year.

If you've been around the pipe community for a while, you might be familiar with Savinelli's practice of releasing new series for the new year. In 2024, we saw the release of stunning series like Vigna, Minerva, Balanzone, Fragola, and their annual Collection series for 2024. Now in 2025, we're given the treat of six new series joining their robust portfolio. Let's take a closer look in appreciation of the new 2025 Savinelli pipes.

2025 New Savinelli Pipes

Sasso

In Appreciation of the New 2025 Savinelli Pipes

Sasso is the Italian word for stone and is the main inspiration behind these gorgeous stems. A marbled acrylic stem that's reminiscent of granite is paired with a light baby blue acrylic ring as the band. Sasso is available in both dark rusticated and light smooth finishes in a variety of fan-favorite shapes.

Available shapes: 106 ● 311 KS ● 601 ● 614 ● 616 ● 701

Available Finishes: Smooth ● Rusticated

Bosco

Bosco is the Italian word for woods, and I believe this series perfectly captures the beauty of something like a mossy black walnut in the middle of the woods. The Bosco series boasts both smooth and rusticated finishes in a dark tree-bark-like brown with a soft mossy green-swirled acrylic stem and a subtle but eye-catching silver acrylic accent band.

Available Shapes: 101 ● 202 ● 316 KS ● 409 ● 626 ● 670 KS

Available Finishes: Smooth ● Rusticated

Colombina

For the past several years, fans of Savinelli have looked forward to the Commedia dell'arte series. Commedia dell'arte was an early form of theatre that was popular in the 16th and 18th centuries with a variety of stock character archetypes. Colombina is the last pipe to be featured in this series and is available only in their iconic 673 KS shape in both a smooth natural and rusticated black finish. Each pipe is highlighted by a lava lamp-esque ocean blue and cherry-red stem inspired by the character's iconic dress.

Available Shape: 673 KS

Available Finishes: Smooth Natural ● Rusticated Black

Dune

In Appreciation of the New 2025 Savinelli Pipes

If your hopes lit up like a Christmas tree when you see the name Dune, I regret to inform you this pipe series is not inspired by the sandworm-filled sci-fi fantasy book series. However, Dune is the perfect name for these pipes as they capture the simple beauty of the rolling sand dunes of a desert landscape. The Dune series features a variety of shapes in a rusticated natural finish on the bowl transition to a soft and smooth shank that flows effortlessly into a metallic sandy brown and dark molasses acrylic stem.

Available shapes: 106 ● 320 KS ● 601 ● 920 KS

Available Finishes: Rusticated Natural

Whisky

In Appreciation of the New 2025 Savinelli Pipes

Opening the door to debate regarding the correct spelling of "Whisky" vs "Whiskey," this series features a bourbon-brown smooth finish in a variety of shapes with a stunning gold band and a mocha-shimmer stem that looks like a glass of your favorite whisky with a couple of dashes of bitters mixed in.

Available shapes: 110 ● 320 KS ● 606 KS ● 616 ● 677 KS

Available Finishes: Smooth

Collection 2025

In Appreciation of the New 2025 Savinelli Pipes

Finally, we have perhaps the most iconic annual release from Savinelli: the Collection 2025. These are the must-have, best-of-the-best, spared-no-expense pipes for true Savinelli collectors. Every year since 1965, we've seen eye-catching pipes released, and every year, they get better and better. The Collection series ushers in a unique, series-specific shape and highlights the marque's reputation for craftsmanship with finishes that prioritize superlative grain.

This year sees a muscular bent Pot in four finishes: Smooth Natural, Smooth Brown, Sandblasted, and Sandblasted with a smooth rim. Each selection features a brass plate dedicated to the year of production on its shank and a signature Savinelli marking on the jet-black acrylic stem.

Available Finishes: Smooth Natural ● Smooth Brown ● Sandblasted ● Sandblasted with a smooth rim

I hope you can appreciate these beauties as much as I do. It's always a pleasure to sit down and really take a look at a pipe, whether it's here on the Daily Reader, something from your own collection, or a listing on Smokingpipes. Even in the case of a pipe being made by a marque like Savinelli, you can feel the passion and love that's put into its design. Savinelli routinely proves their care about their customers and being interested in what it means to be a pipe smoker's favorite pipe. Let me know if you'll be picking up any of the new series this year in the comments below. Happy smokes!

It's a pity to see the available quantity of stock diminish on existing lines such as Dolomiti, etc... cannot find 316, 320 and other interesting designs in the older lines. Newish lines like Paloma and Camouflage and Alligator seem style-deaf. Of This 2025 release only Whiskey and maybe Dune look interesting. But we don't know their price points yet.

I absolutely love that Sasso! Beautiful stem with that creamy swirl with light blue banding. I need to know when they are coming so I can be first in line.

Just to let it be known, the runes that were deleted above "ᛁ ᚺᚨᚠᛖ ᛏᛁᛋᚺᛁᛚ ᛁᚾ ᛗᛁ ᛋᛁᚷᚺᛋ" read "I have the SASSO in my sights". A positive comment on the pipe. No offense...
