Mystery Tobacco Review: December 2022

Welcome back, everyone, to the Mystery Tobacco Review. For this last installment of 2022, we decided to do something a little different and bring back an old Inquisitor from the series' early history. That's right, for the first time in many years, our Inquisitor this month is our own Andy Wike. Of course, Andy's been a panelist for pretty much the entire duration of the show, but it's been quite some time since he's selected one pipe tobacco for all of us to review in a blind taste test. Did that time away afford him new perspective and a new bag of tricks? Or did we prevail against this inside job? Watch the full video above to find out.

What is The Mystery Tobacco Review?

For those of you unfamiliar with this little game, each month one member of our team selects a tobacco for us to review in a blind taste-test. Then we gather around the camera, scratch our heads, and smoke, all while attempting to guess the mysterious mixture's components, origins, and name. There's only one rule: There are no rules.

Merry Christmas. Thanks for all the work on the mystery tobacco review throughout the year. It provides both information and an enjoyable 30 minutes or so every month as a respite from other duties and concerns.Shane, congratulations on the baby.Bijou

A first round knockout, indeed! Nice job, boys. But mostly, I’d like to jump to the front of the line and wish Shane a happy Father’s Day. Congratulations.

Nice work, gentlemen. Very nice. This should erase all that Golden Slices nonsense. One thing I have to ask, though. Are you ever going to be in the same room again?
