About This Pipe
From just about any angle of evaluation, Austrian-Italian Master carver Paolo Becker has some of the fascinating and varied shaping aesthetics in the pipe world. He moves between diverse shaping schools, without so much as creating a ripple, and arrives at a shape that is utterly and abashedly his every time. The shape of the canadian that you see before you is something that Paolo has been playing with lately, utilizing a compositionally dominant bowl of the Italian schools, but with an exaggeration of ratios that is quite unlike any other carver out there. This is great stuff.
