About This Pipe
Lithe and elegant, almost feminine, this piece seems to belie much of what one expects from the great Northern Italian maker, yet remains solidly in the Castello oeuvre. Mostly, when thinking of Castello, bold, masculine lines, strong, forceful planes, deep rustication and sandblasting all come to mind. This visually delicate pipe suggests the opposite, with its soft curves and playful swoops. A delightful little piece.
