About This Pipe
It isn't often that I am afforded the opportunity to use "delicate" and "bulldog" in the same description, but then this little Dunhill Quaint leaves me little choice. The stem and shank are simply exquisite, something I would have sooner expected to see as a fine pipemaker's experiment creating a diamond-shanked prince, as opposed to an English bulldog from Dunhill. The bowl, of course, has been shaped to match; the taper of the lower portion is gracefully pronounced, while that above the bead has been flattened into a lenticular profile, creating a form which is overall both lighter and sharper, visually, than this briar's more common brethren.
