Smooth Bent Dublin (Snail) Tobacco Pipe

The rim view of this Snail Grade bent dublin reveals a perfect circle that is awash with one of the most dense and well defined birdseye you will ever set eyes on. Swinging lower, the full shape of the pipe comes into view. While almost any non-standard pipe shape becomes a type of Rorschach test for the observer, this pipe reminds me of the tip of a wind blown icicle (though no icicle tip would ever break and leave such a nicely rounded base). The "wind" bends the ever decreasing body from left to right, terminating in a wickedly sharp tip. Tom's signature Golden Contrast stain highlights every nuance of spectacular straight grain, and that incredible saddle bit takes as poignantly beautiful of an arc as you can imagine, and keeps a great thing going. to a total length of six and a quarter inches.
