Smooth Horn (Gold) Tobacco Pipe

Showing superlative, intuitive execution across a wide variety of shapes, this Horn by Peter Heding clearly demonstrates the prowess of the Danish carver. The arch that sets up the foundation of the piece, with its sharp, exact lines, supports a broad, architectural bowl and beveled rim. It's a magnificent piece of briar, rich with wispy straight grain along the flank's seams and replete with marbled bird's eye along the bowl's anterior. The saddle component of the vulcanite stem fluidly continues the line of the foundational arch before developing a slender, counter-arched bit. All in all, this is another fantastic composition from Heding.
