About This Pipe
To oppose the impossibly rich straight grain that appears everywhere else on the body, Randy chose one of his older, original forms of rustication (honeycomb). Sitting on a panel that's created on the fore of the bowl, places the bit quite close to vertical, and the totality on the desk feels much closer to an award of some sort, than simply a pipe on the desk.
