About This Pipe
This "513" is a wonderful Italian example of a Foursquare panel design. The rounded corners smooth the transition from panel to panel and the squared shank accentuates the angular theme of the panel design. The long shank definitely required a good size block of briar to even attempt this design and it was a good one too. The rustication technique is paired with portions of smooth finished briar to mimic the tough skin of the alligator, making for one masculine composition, and all this goes for a price only Savinelli manages to offer.
