About This Pipe
I usually counsel younger pipemakers against even attempting this shape because they usually mangle it horribly. This piece is remarkably good, though. Scott has left his own mark on a shape, as filtered by Alex Florov, as filtered by Hiroyuki Tokutomi, as filtered by Lars Ivarsson etc etc. It's a very structured version of the shape, with clean, distinct lines. The pipe is well found in the block, with the cross grain and birdseye each where they're supposed to be. Serious kudos to Scott for a piece of this sophistication!
