About This Pipe
Checking our archives I was only able to dig up one other rendition of a design in this style by Lasse, out of some four-hundred of his briars we've carried. While they both share the same general definition, that of a broad, almost Tomato-like bowl perched high and proud upon a strong transition, followed by a graceful, flowing arch to the shank and a slender, recurving saddle stem, each evinces a notably different character nonetheless. While this is actually the longer of the two, it bears stockier, more muscular proportions, as well as a more rugged sandblast. Combined with the dark walnut stain, this results in an earthier, more masculine composition than the preceding rendition.
