About This Pipe
A stout little curl of a Dublin, this Lasse Skovgaard piece features a novel treatment of the rim, deeply scalloped in a radiating pattern. This artful accent both brings to mind the intricate workmanship of Late Medieval and Renaissance period armorers (who used fluting and scalloping as elements which combined both functional and a decorative purposes), as well as simultaneously lending the briar's shaping a bit of a subtle organic suggestion, too.
