Born out of the partnership of Christian Eiora — well known for his own line of cigars as well as his influential history within the industry — and Tom Lazuka, Asylum cigars is devoted to pushing the envelope when it comes to cigar sizes. While most other cigarmakers stick to the 60 ring gauge range and smaller, Asylum offers that and more, also featuring behemoths that venture into the 70, and even 80, ring gauge. It makes for a portfolio devoted to diversity both in size and in wrapping profiles. Such diversity, though, is not at the expense of quality. Asylum is proud to use premium leaves from Nicaragua and Honduras, where their wide range of medium to full-bodied cigars are also produced, and offers them in an array of lines: the Ogre, the Schizo, the Straight Jacket, Insidious, and Asylum 13 — each exhibiting their own unique flavors and experiences, but always offering refuge from reality.
