Made in the Dominican Republic and heavily marketed in many places around the globe, and especially the United States, Macanudo is a brand many cigar
smokers first encounter in a tobacco shop or humidor display at various
locations. The brand is owned by the General Cigar company, though it was initially produced in Jamaica by Punch. General Cigar acquired the rights to the name outside of Cuba in 1971 and developed a different flavor profile and marketing strategy. In 2000 production moved to the Dominican Republic. Being very consistent cigars with either subtle Connecticut wrappers or bold Maduro offerings, they are great cigars
for the novice and aficionado alike.
