About This Cigar

Aganorsa is known throughout the industry for its quality and similarity to the iconic Cuban flavor and aroma. Based in Nicaragua, Aganorsa is a project by Eduardo Fernández and his son, Max, that started in 1998 when Eduardo traveled to Cuba and assembled a team of former Cubatabaco agronomists with the goal of replicating the profile of Cuban cigars, creating the specific leaf now known as Aganorsa tobacco.

Originally launched in 2020, the Supreme Leaf line has received a new addition: the Toro 109. Supreme Leaf cigars only come twice a year, every time in a new vitola. They've had a 6" x 52 Toro before, so one might wonder what makes this Toro 109 different. The unique identifying feature of this shape is its cap. Made in the 109 style, the cap is a fusion of the Parejo's rounded finish and a Belicoso's pointed tip. The Supreme Leaf Toro 109 is made entirely of Nicaraguan tobacco and boasts a Corojo-dominated flavor and aroma, offering a complex combination of sweetness and spice.

Worst burning cigars i have ever had - very disappointing

Product: Aganorsa Leaf Supreme Leaf Toro 109
I was really looking forward to trying these and have had two so far and they are the worst burning cigars I have ever smoked. Lots of "core burning", like the wrapper was made of asbestos. Constant application of fire was required to keep the cigar from going out, or worse, the cigar would go out after only a few moments without being drawn. I can't even say I was able to fairly assess the flavor because I was either huffing and puffing to keep it lit or applying the torch. Not a tight draw either. Not an over-humidification issue because an insertable hygrometer showed between 65 and 68 percent on the two I tried.
Anything but a relaxing afternoon experience.
