+About All Saints
Micky Pegg's foray into the cigar industry began in college when he interned on Capitol Hill. Among his many responsibilities was picking up cigar orders from the local cigar shop for various politicians and other officials. He started smoking cigars himself and fell in love with the pastime, supplementing his internship on The Hill by working at that same cigar shop, Georgetown Tobacco. Despite having attended college with the hopes of later entering politics, Micky's newfound fascination with cigars altered this trajectory. After graduation, he worked as a sales representative for Davidoff, gaining valuable industry insight and building relationships before eventually joining CAO as their National Sales Manager.
In the late-2000s, though, CAO's change in ownership prompted Mick to transition. He earned a master's degree and entered the financial sector but remained connected to colleagues in the cigar industry. Throughout this time, two of his friends, restaurateur Martin Corboy and Air Force veteran Frank Layo, urged Micky to return to what he loved, and despite the unknown landscape ahead, the trio decided to establish their own cigar brand — in Micky's own words, "A tough day with a cigar is better than a bad day without one."
They established All Saints with the mantra Odit Dominus Ignavus Agit — "The Lord Hates a Coward" — founding the brand on an intrepid spirit and jokingly referring to one another as Saints Michael, Martin, and Francis. In 2019, All Saints debuted their first core-line cigar, Dedicación, and 2021 welcomed the Saint Francis and Saint Francis Colorado blends. Every All Saints cigar is hand-rolled at Rocky Patel's TAVICUSA factory in Nicaragua, a partnership born from Micky's longtime relationship with Rocky, and working together on All Saints cigars was a natural partnership. The All Saints logo honors this friendship and the country from which Micky sources much of All Saints tobacco: the cross of Saint James, the patron saint of Nicaragua.
