After a successful exit from their flourishing cigar lounge business, brothers Gus and Billy Fakih founded Artesano Del Tobacco and relocated to Estelí, Nicaragua. Their mission was simple — deliver premium, boutique blends that excelled in flavor and quality. In Nicaragua, Gus and Billy partnered with esteemed blender AJ Fernandez and began developing cigars that embodied their mission, resulting in Artesano Del Tobacco’s Viva La Vida and El Pulpo lines.
