About This Cigar
Kopp Tobaccos, a German cigar distributor, has released their first cigar line - Dios Del Sol. The name means "God of the Sun," coming from the many cultures of Central America. Oliver Kopp has not disclosed what factory he worked with, although the company has revealed that the factory is "one of the oldest and most renowned families in the cigar world." The blend features Honduran-Connecticut wrapper, Honduran Broadleaf binder, as well as Honduran filler from the Jamastran region and Nicaragua's Jalapa region. The intended profile is one that offers a creamy texture, touch of spice, rich aromatics, and a bit of natural sweetness. The cigar is available in a Robusto, Toro, Belicos, and Churchill vitola, shown here is the Robusto.
"The Dios del Sol invites aficionados to embark on a journey back to the times when the Maya, Inca, Aztec, and Taíno peoples smoked tobacco leaves in ritual ceremonies to connect with their deities," stated the company in a press release.
