Established in 2021 by Michael Herklots and Brendon Scott — both former executives at Nat Sherman — Ferio Tego Cigars expands upon the Nat Sherman legacy, resurrecting classic favorites while also introducing connoisseurs to new premium blends. The name follows the Herklots family motto, roughly translating to "Strike and Defend" in Latin, and the brand's logo reveals the family's coat of arms, depicting Hercules fighting the Hydra according to Greek mythology. In line with their name, Ferio Tego strikes a balance between taking risks and moving forward while remembering those who came before and honoring tradition.

Alongside their own blends, Ferio Tego has also revitalized Nat Sherman's iconic Timeless and Metropolitan series, creating the same blends that connoisseurs trusted for decades — rebranded under the Ferio Tego name. All Ferio Tego cigars are hand-rolled by the Quesada family in the Dominican Republic or the Plasencia family in Nicaragua, and they comprise myriad tobacco varietals — from Honduran and Dominican to Nicaraguan and Ecuadorian; Sumatran and Connecticut to Sungrown and Maduro — satisfying a wide range of preferences in numerous vitolas.
