Cuesta Rey cigars commemorate Angel LaMadrid Cuesta's commitment to handmade cigars. He opened up his first cigar factory in 1884, and quickly earned a reputation as one of the greatest handmade cigar craftsmen of his day. Cuesta-Rey cigars were once the official cigar of 19th century Spanish King Alfonso XIII, and Señor Cuesta was honored with the title, "Tobacco Purveyor for the Spanish King and Court." The Centro Fino Sungrown collection utilizes the rich tobaccos grown in the Quevedo region of Ecuador for their wrapper leaves. The hearty Sumatra-seed sungrown wrapper, paired with specially aged Dominican ligero filler creates a strong and flavorful, yet smooth smoke that any connoisseur could enjoy. The No. 9 allows you to experience this blend as a Pyramid, but it is available in other vitolas.
