About This Cigar
Jochy Blanco is a fourth generation manufacturer and tobacco grower, his family's factory - Tabacalera Palma - was one of the first to be established in the Dominican Republic in 1936. It's located in Tamboril, which many consider to be the cigar capital of the world. La Galera is their flagship brand that Blanco launched in 2016.
The 1936 Box-Pressed line celebrates nearly a century of craftsmanship at Tabaclera Palma with some of the finest tobaccos Jochy grew on his La Canela farms. They were set aside and aged for seven years, producing a medium-full bodied smoke with lots of flavor. The blend features an Ecuadorian-Habano wrapper, Dominican Criollo '98 binder, as well as Dominican Piloto Cubano and Criollo '98 fillers. See which size is worth celebrating for you, offered here is the Corona Gorda.
