+About Oliva
The Oliva family has been growing tobacco since 1886 and, like many Cuban families of the time, found things changing in the political climate in their homeland. Searching for a different place to make a living, they settled in Nicaragua and took root, one could say, in the fertile soil that has since produced some of the finest tobacco in the world. Gilberto and his son Gilberto Jr. shifted from only growing tobaccos and started the Oliva
cigar company in 1995, which is now based in Miami.
