Oliva's Serie V cigar consists of specially fermented Jalapa Valley ligero fillers from Nicaragua and a Nicaraguan binder, all wrapped in an Ecuadorian Sun Grown Habano leaf. In the Melanio version, named in honor of Melanio Oliva — the first of the Oliva family to grow tobacco — that Habano wrapper is traded for an Ecuadorian Sumatran, while maintaining the rich filler blend and binder. Highlighting this rich Sumatran leaf, the Oliva Serie V Melanio offers a robust flavor profile marked by hints of chocolate, smoky cedar, and malt.
