While Roberto Duran may not be a household name in the U.S. cigar market, he is certainly no stranger to the tobacco business. Though he was originally supposed to be a banker at age 22, he was presented with a Cuban Davidoff No. 1, and told "a cigar...opens Cuba to the World." With that, he began his tobacco career in Havana, Cuba, and soon took a position with Pacific Cigar Company, the Asian Habanos S.A. distributor, representing four multinational cigar companies and introducing cigars to 40 countries around the world. Today, the Roberto Duran cigar combines the finest quality Nicaraguan and Latin American tobacco fillers with a premium Habana Criollo wrapper, famous for its distinctive Colorado Color, carefully balanced by a team of tobacco experts to result in a pleasant medium to strong flavor.
