Smokingpipes Roasts is our private house line of whole bean coffees. We set out to find the highest-quality coffees we could and partner with roasters we know and trust to bring each one to life. Each coffee is selected with the same attention to quality that we bring to everything we do, from carefully sourced beans to thoughtful roasting that highlights what makes each one unique. As the line grows, we'll continue working with our favorite roasters to bring new coffees to Smokingpipes that you won't find anywhere else.

This roast was developed and selected by our team in collaboration with Methodical, with careful consideration given to every part of the process. The selection process included blind tastings of numerous coffees, allowing the team to compare different origins, processing methods, and flavor profiles before settling on the final product.

Parting Gift is a comforting, approachable coffee from Brazil, featuring Catuai and Mundo Novo varietals and a naturally processed profile. The coffee carries a bit of legend with it. In 1727, while France and its neighbors fiercely guarded their coffee plants and refused to share their seeds, Portuguese-Brazilian military officer Francisco de Melo Palheta is said to have smuggled live coffee seeds out of French Guiana in a farewell bouquet from the French Governor's wife. That daring gesture helped lay the foundation for Brazil's coffee industry, which would eventually become the largest in the world. Parting Gift offers delectable notes of peanut brittle, baker's chocolate, and brown sugar, making it an easygoing daily driver that can be enjoyed brewed by just about any method.
