Missouri Meerschaum: Lord Morgan 1.5oz Pipe Tobacco

Product Number: 003-673-0007

A tribute to Missouri Meerschaum's General Manager and tobacco aficionado Phil Morgan, Lord Morgan is a special collaboration blend between the world's oldest corn cob pipe factory and Sutliff. A complex and surprisingly potent English blend, Lord Morgan combines 65% Cypriot Latakia with select Orientals, Virginias, Burleys, and a dash of Perique, and the mixture is aged for nine months in top-shelf bourbon barrels before being pressed into the dense cakes that have made Sutliff's Crumble Kake series so popular.

Very Nice Tin Art

Product: Missouri Meerschaum Lord Morgan 1.5oz
*UPDATED* The tin art is classy and very well done. I was able to acquire a couple tins through a competitor. It's soppy wet and exudes bourbon. While drying does allow it to stay lit, it loses some of the bourbon flavor. This has great flavor but ... Read More
Lagavulin in a bowl?

Product: Missouri Meerschaum Lord Morgan 1.5oz
Smokey, whisky flavors. My first impression is Lagavulin in a pipe bowl. Whisky stays strong, not overpowering. Burns well. Leaves me with a fuzzy mouth feeling that I tend to get from aromatics, so I am wondering if there is something here besides t... Read More

A very complex note with solid english mixture aroma. Dare not to say it's world-wide popular, but for those into it, this tin is definitely the one. A product that needs time and personality to co-understand.
very nice!

Product: Missouri Meerschaum Lord Morgan 1.5oz
Tin note of fruity and smoky. Tobacco is a Krumble Kake of black with a little dark brown. Moisture content is ok, some pipe smokers will want to dry this a bit. Kake breaks apart and rubs out easily. Burns slow once lit with any relights. The streng... Read More

Product: Missouri Meerschaum Lord Morgan 1.5oz
I typically sample a pipe upon opening a tin then jar for a year no matter what. After a year this stuff goes from good to amazing. Im my mind this is exactly what a pipe tobacco should smell and taste like. Very smooth, no bite. Great all day smok... Read More

Most "aromatic English" blends are cavendish thrown into a normal English blend to sweeten it up a bit. I don't really care for them. This "aromatic English" is quite different, though. With a heavy dose (65%) of Latakia, this one... Read More

Product: Missouri Meerschaum Lord Morgan 1.5oz
So I’ll start off by saying I’ve been a pipe smoker for almost 50 years, and in all that time I have never really cared for aromatic blends. I’ve tried several over the years, but don’t care for them much. But I love English, Virginias, and VaPers. W... Read More

Heavy Bourbon
December 07, 2021
Product: Missouri Meerschaum Lord Morgan 1.5oz
If you like heavy alcohol paired with deep, rich Latakia, this blend is for you. Soggy wet out of the tin, it will need ample drying time. Room note is very enjoyable and tastes are mostly charred wood and bourbon. Not a terrible blend but certainly ... Read More
