Unlike some reviewers here, I got to actually try this at the LVIPS and it certainly is not like regular Plum Pudding. And this blend was created by the late Joe Lankford, Russ (assuming Ouilette) isn’t involved so I’m not sure what that reviewer is ... Read More

I hope this backfires tremendously. Between this extremely overpriced gouge, and and the C&D scams of limited releases, you have very little concern for your customers.
Shame on whoever priced this...

I’m sorry to contribute to the non-review train but it seems like some clarification is needed because people are not reading closely. This tin is double the price of the bourbon barrel aged version for a reason: it contains double the amount of toba... Read More

y taste the cognac.
For me, the latakia and perique takes the front, specially the perique, but essensially that comes down to the individual smoker, packing etc.
I see a lot of people complain about the price. I do agree, that yes almost $40 is a bit steep, compared to what you get. However, I would compare that to any of the Esoterica blends. Overhyped and overpriced.
For what this blend is, I'll recommend going with the SPC Bourbon Barrel instead. Not only do you get more for the money (2 tins for the price of this limited one), but the bourbon pairs better with the latakia. Read Less

$39.10 for a 4oz. tin of pipe tobacco, seriously?
Lets see...$39.10 for a 4oz. tin. If I were to buy 4 tins, which would be 1 pound. I would be paying $156.40 a pound. But wait I can get a price break if I were to buy 5 tins for $37.93 a tin. That wo... Read More

Tin 477 of 1200, dated 10/21/22, has tin notes of smoky fermentation, alcohol, and sweet fruit. The black and dark brown firm crumble plug is somewhat moist but breaks apart and rubs out with a little effort. Burns slow with a few extra relights. The... Read More
strength is mild to medium and nic is mild to medium. Flavoring is mild sweet alcohol and dissipates rather quickly. Taste is medium and consistent, with complex notes of smoky wood, dry earth, sour herbs, spicy, floral vegetation, stewed spice fruits, sweet grass, bread, mild tart sugar plum, a lemon peel background note, and a spicy retro. Latakia and Orientals are leading with Virginias Cavendish and Perique supporting when needed. Flavoring (VSOP) starts off a supporter but fades to the background quickly and then disappears. Room note is pleasant to tolerable, and aftertaste is great. Read Less
