s blend comes very close to FMC's quality and characteristics. They're both rich and smoky, while having a very smooth and savory finish, thanks to their masterful barrel aging processes. They both pack well, stay lit well (given proper drying time), smoke cool, and hold a good flavor profile to the bottom of the bowl. If you liked Frog Morton's Cellar or are just looking for a great English with a bit of a smooth edge to it, this is definitely one you should try. Read Less

Wow, I really like this stuff! I can tell a definite difference from Plum Pudding Special Reserve, both are great. If you like the regular Plum Pudding, this should be next for your buying consideration. Has a great aftertaste.

This was my first Plum Pudding of any variety. This is a very fun blend to smoke. There are so many interesting flavors that come and go, all of them enjoyable and somewhat mellow. I look forward to much more of this.

n my opinion far as flavor minimum to know tongue bite whatsoever! Was really looking forward to trying the Frog Morton series but due to their discontinuation and how happy everyone was with the blends especially frog Morton cellar. I feel like I had really missed out on something but you can't miss out on what's not available anymore. I am a daily cigarette smoker but at the same time I've heard a lot of good things about pipe smoking and yes I am finding out the hard way that it is an art form but I am willing to take the time to master it LOL bottom line I would recommend this tobacco blend. Because out of all of the other blends this one blew them out of the water. But to be fair to the other Blends also I haven't quite developed a good enough pallet to detect all of the ingredients so my opinion could change but for now Plum Pudding bourbon barrel-aged he's number one in my book. up on my own. I accidentally ordered the Plum Pudding: Bourbon Barrel Aged around the same time and at first I wasn't particularly fond of it. Over time though, things began to shift.
I noticed after a couple of weeks that I was pinching more of the bourbon aged tobacco than the original plum pudding. The more I smoked, the more I appreciated and enjoyed. By the time my first tin was done, I was certain that I had found my favorite.
I just received a new tin yesterday and cracking open the tin of Plum Pudding Bourbon Barrel is sheer joy. The sweet familiar smell of bourbon permeates your senses right away. It may catch you off guard at first whiff. There is a full bodied sent to Plum Pudding BBA that I cannot explain. It begs to be the smoke you have after a nice dinner while contemplating the day.
The taste, room note, and strength are aligned perfectly. This is not a tobacco you want to puff like a chimney. This is one you really have to take time and appreciate every level of it's complexity.
This is absolutely my favorite and I am confident this will be my daily smoke for a long time to come. Read Less

I tried this before I tried regular Plum Pudding, and must say, I love the extra tang from this bourbon version. Delish! The tin note reminded me of smoked cheese from back home, mixed with burning trash in the distance. What's not to love?!

the experience was superb! Why only 4 stars instead of 5? It's only because I would not want this to be an all day tobacco. I think that it is best enjoyed in occasional and small doses in order to truly appreciate it's wonderful qualities. The flavoring is evident in the beginning but drops to the background soon after. Taste is medium and mostly consistent, with complex notes of sugared raisins, floral, sweet bourbon, smoky, fermented sour, sugar, wood, herbal musty vegetation, spices, toast, leather, zesty citrus, slight spicy, earthy, slight bitterness, a buttery incense and tangy dark fruit background note, and a peppery retro. Tin note was setting high expecations of this English style blend. Reality for me was a dissapointment. There are much better balanced and well rounded blends and the marketing gimic of wood stave is not usefull. Will not be purchasing again.
