About This Pipe Tobacco
Perique is a special spice tobacco originating from St. James Parish, Louisiana, the only place where it is made. Compressed, heated, and fermented, the result is a strong peppery/fig flavor. It's worthwhile noting that, due to its length, this particular cut of the condiment leaf can be difficult to blend and shouldn't be used unless called for in specific recipes.

This is a great addition to either Virginia or Burley tobacco. With a sweet VA, it reminds me of the old "Red Hots" candy. Added to a nutty Burley, it adds a spicy edge to perk it up. Great stuff!

lend” starts with a string “pop” - almost like expecting to sip coke but you were served Dr Pepper. Boom. Paying attention now aren’t we ?
Smoky soapy leather and plum wine in a bowl. Sound like a head rush? It kind of is. If you lay off and savor it, it’s almost like a nice peppery Cabernet Sauvignon - push it and it’s a peppery spicy bowl of spite.
The smoke is almost thick enough to chew - and you can feel it coat your mouth. This is big boy tobacco - newbies and the uninitiated don’t need to start here. You earn this blend, not just buy it.
It’s a spicy rum cake. It’s a forbidden leathery raisin fruit rollup.
This is a nicotine lovers blend.
This is Rustica-lite-esque.
What I’m saying is it’s kinda too much of a “something” for me but definitely something I want to have for when I’m in the mood for just annihilating my senses.
