I don't get the hype.

The brights are prominent, with the first half of the bowl being a light hay and grass flavors dominating with nutty n spicy undertones. I'd hardly call this an english- It's more of a virgina/burley blend. Half way through the bowl, it begins to become more nutty, sweeter, and the light hay, grassy flavor is much more pronounced- The last half of the bowl is tasty but I'd rather just have a bowl of Bayou Morning Flake UPDATE: So, I continued periodically smoking a bowl of this here n there and I noticed, each bowl was a little better- the tin note was more pungent and started smelling of BBQ. After a month of being open in the tin, this tobacco has morphed into a much more richly flavoured mixture. I'd like to see how this tastes after a little age....Read More

Compared to Penzance and Quite Nights

First, Druc's Kings Fool is an excellent deep rich English smoke. Flavor, tin note, first mid and near end of the bowl smoking attributes- this hits all the marks for me. I have a couple tins of Penzance aged nicely, and kings fools comes in darn close to matching the deep spicy smokey flavors, and after taste! I have been smoking Quiet Nights to sub Penzance, but I think I just found a new sub in Kings Fool. I recommend this!...Read More
