Great balance

Product: Erik Stokkebye 4th Generation 1982 Centennial Blend 1.4oz
Can't think of a blend that has a better balance of flavors. The blackberry is subtle, combines with some vanilla, it's an excellent smoke.

A fantastic, flavorful smoke. You really get some good vanilla and a little black berry on the back but doesn't at all over power the tobacco itself. Good stuff always keep it in rotation!
A High Quality Berry Aromatic

Product: Erik Stokkebye 4th Generation 1982 Centennial Blend 1.4oz
I can't believe how much I like this aromatic blend and crave it. I'm not a big aromatic smoker, but every once awhile I want the sweetness and aroma that only a good aromatic can deliver. At such times, I'm drawn to blackberries, raspberries, and th... Read More
e like. I've tried different berry blends and have even blended my own, but Stokkebye nails it--also a surprise because I usually associate overly sweet goop with Stokkebye's standard aromatics. But this blend is as if Stokkebye & Co. took their high-grade, exceptional Luxury Navy Flake, some Cornell and Diehl burley, and a high-grade cavendish lightly basted in juice from fat summer blackberries. The bit of vanilla rounds out the flavor, taming the berry. I've never gotten tongue-bite out of this, but if I puff too fast, I cause the added sugars to cross into sour territory--my fault, not the tobacco's. This blend would be like too many aromatics if not for the obviously superior quality of the tobaccos used to make it. I'm hooked, and I hope this remains available for a good long while. Read Less
Nice mellow smoke

Product: Erik Stokkebye 4th Generation 1982 Centennial Blend 1.4oz
Creamy blackberry flavor when sipped slowly Mildly sweet and tangy with plenty of smoke. Burns to a fine white ash. Can turn harsh if pushed (burleys I suspect) otherwise a fine tobbaco. Should be known that I don't typically smoke aromatics.
Excellent tobacco

My go to tin. I’m trying everything so far I love it. Still experimenting, so much to choose. I’m a new pipe smoker. Enough said. Be back for more.

Product: Erik Stokkebye 4th Generation 1982 Centennial Blend 1.4oz
I wasn't sure about this when I ordered but it is a mild to mellow smoke with a nice but not overpowering room note. I was surprised by the complexity of the taste. It will be in my rotation form now on.
Quality smoke.

Updated review** Previously I didn’t really enjoy this tobacco, don’t know if it was the pipe I smoked it out of, the mood I was in, or maybe it needed to age a bit, but I came back to it on a whim and now I’m enjoying the hell out of this. Bringing... Read More

(Old Review)Good quality tobacco, smooth smoke, but not my cup of tea as far as flavor. No fault of the maker. Read Less

This is an excellent aromatic. The tin note of blackberry and vanilla translates very well into the taste of the smoke. It's not overpowering or cloying; just an excellent smoke. I find it needs little to no drying time.

Product: Erik Stokkebye 4th Generation 1982 Centennial Blend 1.4oz

Product: Erik Stokkebye 4th Generation 1982 Centennial Blend 1.4oz
This stuff smokes great.. and I would compare it with Comoy's Cask no2.. maybe I'm crazy but I like mixing the two together 50/50. It leaves a wonderful room note and gives a mellow, cool smoke when dried a bit and sipped. I'd compare it to Optimum... Read More

Product: Erik Stokkebye 4th Generation 1982 Centennial Blend 1.4oz
Superbly balanced aromatic. Not overly sweet tasting, but it is sweet! And the aroma is a 100% crowd pleaser. I was smoking this on a non-smoking jobsite, turned around and the super-intendadant had snuck up in me to catch me red handed. I though I w... Read More

Product: Erik Stokkebye 4th Generation 1982 Centennial Blend 1.4oz
Good tobacco, though a little too wet out of the tin. Good flavour, strength, & room note. Berry tin notes give way to navy flake while smoking. Enjoyably.
