When I read ribbon cut I expected something like a cigarette rolling tobbacco cut. This is more like a finely broken flake. Delicious from start to finish.

The sweetness of the Virginia's is enhanced by the perique and the dfk which are both detected and blended excellently. Smooth and enjoyable smoke with no harsh edges. The shag cut is an easy pack and is a good cadence teacher also. One of my favorites.

This is the tobacco that I use to judge all other pipe tobaccos. Is it worse than PF, as good as PF, or better than PF (not many get that distinction)? I absolutely love everything about this tobacco. I understand that shag cut isn't for everyone, but a full bowl lasts about an hour for me and is the PERFECT companion to my morning coffee. If you smoke it slow enough, you get a wonderful aftertaste of dark chocolate. Like I said, it compliments my coffee perfectly.
