Kramer's: New Mix Pipe Tobacco

I’m slowly making my way through Kramer’s, I started with Fr. Dempsey and loved it. I don’t love New Mix as much, but it’s still a good blend! This reminds me of a quality Va/Per but just with some Latakia and Orientals in there as a seasoning. Lots of perique.

Good straight forward English mix, this is the kind of thing you'd buy in bulk and smoke regularly, burned pretty well and stayed lit until about 1/3 remained, relights weren't too bad.

This is an exceptional blend, with just enough Perique that blends well with this English. Nicely done...

I really love the Cary Grant blend, but this one tops it. Doesn't have the aromatic quality that the Grant blend has. Finding that I prefer the English blends, and New Mix is a good start.

This is what I think of when I think English blend. This is balanced and smooth. The perique keeps it interesting all the way through and the Lat is like a smokey old friend. Mine came yesterday.Good solid medium English with enough other components to enhance the flavor.I like this one. I recommend buying and smoking it.

I can't express how happy I am that Kramer's is now available to so many more people. I used to have the good fortune of driving across town and picking up a few ounces of Cary, Danny Kaye, Father Dempsey, New Mix Blends, Etc. It is sad that the store is now closed after so many decades of great service to the pipe smoking community. (We miss you Marsha & Jim!) This is a wonderful blend. Very excited to find it available here. Excellent aroma and an almost sweet aftertaste. The flavors meld together flawlessly and the smell reminds me of why I got into pipe smoking. I would describe this as an aromatic for Oriental lovers.
