Good all day smoke, but makes a magnificent blending base

I loved smoking this as is, nothing outrageous or special, simply a good simple smoke.
For blending it was extraordinary as a base. I blended 4oz LC Va/Bur with 2oz of C&D Fired Cured Kentucky, 1oz of C&D Izmir, and 1oz of Newminster 400 Virginia Flake. It was perfect.

Some is aging and very hopeful regarding the outcome!

Used it again in blending. Kept it simple.

Still relatively new to burleys. Was introduced by Haunted Bookshop, while at first I threw it in the trash, I later dug it back out and have now come to thoroughly enjoy it. This is very similar, minus the perique obviously. So it does lack the depth and spiciness, and has ever the slightest bite (easily mitigated, however, with proper pacing), but still retains the creaminess of the burley and subtle sweetness of the virginia. For this price one could just as easily add a pinch of perique on your own and call it a day. Haven't tried that yet but I will right right now. As it is, still a pleasant smoke. Will definitely buy more.
Update: I actually prefer the Haunted over this, as the virginias are a little sweeter and the perique is blended better than I could manage it. Since I infrequently prefer burleys I'll dish out the extra bucks. If I were a regular enjoyer I'd definitely be buying this one....Read More

This tobacco is exactly what I needed: deep and rich, with natural flavour, well balanced, and with a very good nic hit even for the guy with quite high nicotine tolerance as I am. To be honest, the tobacco exceeded my expectations, especially taking into account its fairly low price. Surely one of the best price/quality combination on the market.
If you like Virginia and Burley blends with good nic hit - order a couple ounces with no doubts. Currently such blends are my favourites for everyday all day smoke, so I am a bit biased here. But for sure this blend contains quality tobaccos with natural taste and serve well for smoking straight on as well as for blending.
I think Burley is dominating here, but mostly in strengh and nicotine rather than the taste. If you like Virginia dominating blends, just add a pinch of it to this blend, and you'll get what you want. I don't have particular preferences: sometimes I want Burley a bit forward, sometimes Virginia, sometimes balanced - with this blend you can easily play however you prefer.
It's simple, but complex at the same time, you can smoke it without thinking, but can also find many nuances if you decide to concentrate on it. Just really great blend....Read More
