ough the bowl is when the tobacco begins to heat up and meld together releasing it's deeply satisfying, smoky, and vaguely sweet flavor. The occasional aggressive draw and quick cadence with pluming retro-hale invites rich hints of caramel, BBQ, and a faint unsweetened Cocoa. It's hard for me not to freight train this sublime flake. I just need to remember to enjoy the ride and preserve my tongue. The last quarter is completely and perfectly rich. Nirvana. I could smoke this every day. This was my first experience with dark fired Kentucky. Are they all this good? I can tell you HH Bold Kentucky definitely is. I can't decide between the two which I prefer. I smoked them nearly back to back and started with Bold Kentucky. The juxtaposition made Old Dark Fired seem less flavorful and mild. When I smoke only ODF, it seems perfect. If you're an animal like me, perhaps start with ODF. I think I'm going to keep them both around. Highly suggest loading up on them both. Would hate for these to disappear....Read More

The taste is very consistent from start to finish. Tin note is deep, dark chocolate over fermented raisins and exotic spices, over the rich, fermented dark-fired leaf, and if you keep sniffing you may detect the sharp-ish cigar notes. This is one excellent tobacco. Simply excellent!
