Nice lunch break smoke or an afternoon porch swing. Has a lasting sweetness with a pleasant scent.

In 1971 while a young American soldier assigned to Asmara Ethiopia I was introduced to Symphony. What more can I say, it’s a great smoke.

I let this sit in a jar for 2 months and wow, big difference ! The flavors are more intense, it pops now. It still has the cocoa note in the aroma and taste, but I'm getting a bit more sweetness from the Virginia a nice honey taste and the burley is standing out more with nuttiness. Also getting a hint of leather. Aroma is old school pipe cocoa/ honey. With just a little age this improved substantially. Age this for a year and it's probably spectacular. A delicious, high-quality burley blend. Smoked slowly, the nutty-chocolatey flavor comes out consistently. The cut is delightful as well.

Having enjoyed HH Burley Flake tremendously, I had high hopes for this blend. There's a flavour in the mix that I can't identify, which is throwing me off of really enjoying it. Tin aroma is quite similar to Golden Extra, with the fermented quality, but is much more grassy. The blend is significantly lighter in colour, and seems to emphasize the Virginia. The added flavour, possibly vanilla or chocolate, is present is just the right quantity to distract from the tobaccos, without really adding anything positive. Burley is muted, in the flavour profile. The blend may improve with age, but after a few weeks with it, it just seems like an inferior version of Golden Extra....Read More

A good solid burley blend, but there are better out there.

Dry as a bone right out of the package. Harsh, NO flavor whatsoever, will NOT stay lit. Worst I have ever tried in 53 years of pipe smoking.
