About This Pipe Tobacco

St. Bruno was originally conceived in the 1890s by Thomas Ogden, a businessman who had started a tobacco shop in 1860 along Park Lane in Liverpool, England. Within a few years, Ogden opened several other shops throughout Liverpool, and after seeing how successful his retail operation was, Ogden decided to venture into manufacturing, establishing his first factory in 1866. By 1890, Ogden owned six small factories and a snuff mill. Since its beginnings, St. Bruno has become a staple pipe tobacco, with Mac Baren taking over production in 2006 and purchasing the blend completely in 2015.

As a pipe tobacco, St. Bruno features smooth Virginias and smoky Dark-Fired Kentucky, all steam pressed and sliced into thin flakes. It's topped with subtle floral and citrus notes for a delightful character that complements the natural tobacco without drifting fully into Aromatic territory.

$25? Not in this lifetime

Product: St. Bruno Flake 1.75oz
What exactly do you guys think you are doing charging $25 for one tin of St. Bruno? Folks this is an OTC blend in the UK. I suspect this has something to do with the tariffs now in place between both our countries. Donald Trump is an absolute moron and his policies have done nothing by but hurt regular Americans and people outside America. If you voted for or vocally supported this man I hope you got what you wanted. When this is over please return to your trailer park and leave the decisions to people who actually finished school and didn’t drop out in the 5th grade. End communication...Read More

Kyburley shut the hell up, no one cares about your political opinion on a tobacco shop/review website stick to whining to your boywife. The tobacco is really nice, good flavor but as said before not worth the price.

Product: St. Bruno Flake 1.75oz
First try at this one this evening in my cheapy corn cob pipe I purchased at my local Smoker Friendly here in town. I have a high end briar and multiple MM corn cob pipes but wanted a new unused pipe to try this in without smoking my MM cob pipes that are dedicated to Virginia, Vapers, and English blends. Even out of a cheap cob pipe this stuff tastes awesome! Even with a Feb 2026 date. Definitely will be picking up more tins to cellar back. I will get a MM cob pipes to dedicate specifically to this blend. It’s sweet, sour, floral and has a uniqueness I can’t pinpoint as well. What a joy pipe smoking has been on my shared journey with cigars. Cigars have taken a backseat this point in time and I’m loving the pipe tobacco. While my neighbors are lighting fireworks this Saturday I’m lighting my pipes! Side note, KYBURLEY please point to the doll where Trump hurt you. Another one suffering with TDS. My prayers are with you....Read More

Product: St. Bruno Flake 1.75oz
The tin note is pleasant, if unusual. This flake is unic. The taste is very pleasant, with just a touch of fruitiness, and the smoke is thick, creamy, and a bit on the incense-side.

Product: St. Bruno Flake 1.75oz
I was disappointed, I thought this was going to be a rich virginia flake, a real European banger. The advertisement was exotic, import, much wow.

I opened that tin, and every memory of trying to escape the south as a kid bubbled up to the surface. The Kentucky Fire Deep South. The Oklahoma
HawkTuah, the mechanic who overcharges for basic service. I threw the tin out, its a cigar pressed into a flake....Read More
